Mountain From Dock is really nice.

When I saw your bird pics, I suddenly remembered the time when I entered my own bird pics in a contest in the now defunct Greenpeace Forum. I had two that made it to the final voting. But I ultimately lost because the members didn't like the fact that the two birds in my pics were tied to their perches. Nevermind the fact that my pics were taken from a bird sanctuary that's now closed because they reintroduced all their birds to the wild. Sheeesh.

Ahhh. At least there's a glimmer of hope.

As far as this site goes, everything is fine with me at the moment, Dave. But I really appreciate your concern.

Aside from the money I spent for JomSocial last January, this site does not incur any direct costs to me. I can't say what will 2011 entail at this time, though.

As far as going official, the UPOU administration informally recognizes this site. They even went out of their way to take a snapshot of the home page and include it in the permanent exhibit board in the new building -- yes, the five girls in the rotating banner have now been immortalized in UPOU. Lol...

I think that's as good as I can expect or hope for. I don't think I even want anything beyond that.

I was not with the interim council the entire time because I attended the Sem Ender meeting.

There were 4 attendees last meeting: 4 AA students, 1 MA and 1 Phd student.

We are now drafting the UPOU USC constitution, and it’s not an easy task if I may say so.

There were a few gray areas that need further deliberation. One of which is the student’s bill of rights. Reading other UP units USC Magna Carta, the council deemed some of the items irrelevant and is already subject to the governing charter of the UP system.

We focused on the main goals of the USC and deliberated on the following: Who are qualified to run as Chairman and Councilor(s), the USC budget, number of councilors, 4. Different USC committees, and we tried to define the technicalities governing UPOU as a separate and independent academic UP unit.

GJ, Madz…Can you provide us with an update of what transpired before I arrived?

We are not halfway through drafting the Magna Carta and we strongly suggest students to take part of the deliberation.

You can use it. But it will impose a lot of limitations as to what you can shoot.
